Registered nurses (RNs) administer and coordinate medical care, inform and counsel patients and their families, and offer emotional support.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) plan and supervise patient care in accordance with the needs of each patient. Patients are interviewed and their medical history and physical condition are documented. Patients receive routine care.

A Health Care Aide (HCA) offers direct assistance, and personal help to patients in need of support. They help patients with everyday tasks like getting dressed, washed, groomed, and fed. Nursing attendants, home support aides, home support workers, and residential support workers are all names for Health Care Aides.
